Giving Pantry
The Giving Pantry collects weekly, non-perishable food and necessary living items needed for daily survival. Recipients include three local food pantries and three down town Cleveland. Donated items can be placed in the baskets in the gathering area each weekend. CONTACT: Bob Fay 440-247-9649

Food DonationsItems needed weekly:
Canned beef, pork, spam, salmon, tuna, chicken, stew, rice, noodles, pasta, spaghetti sauce w/meat, dry soup mixes, cereal, dried fruit, raisins, peanuts, peanut butter, jelly, coffee, tea, crackers and cookies

Items needed monthly:
Bath items, hand soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, Depends, feminine products, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dish soap

St. Patrick's Hunger Center
Volunteers from the parish travel to St. Patrick's Hunger Center in Cleveland about 4 times a year to prepare and serve a meal.  Bakers are also needed to provide home-baked goodies to serve along with the meal. These can be dropped off at the Parish Hall prior to the trip to St. Patrick's.

USO Donations

These donations are given to the local USO donation site for care packages to our service members. Donations can be put in the box by the American flag in the gathering area. CONTACT: Ralph Burr 440-338-5311

Items needed:
Beef jerky, lip balm, Ramon noodles, all size Ziploc bags, toiletries and hard candy. Individual size: peanut butter, drink mix, hot cereal, wipes, shaving cream.

Seasonal Giving Opportunities
Back to School Supplies: at the beginning of each school year the parish collects school supplies for needy children in Northeast Ohio. Please check the bulletin for details.

Blanket Sunday: each fall the parish collects new and gently used blankets and sheets for families in need in the Cleveland area. Please check the bulletin for details. 

Giving Tree: during the Advent season, the parish helps needy local families, schools, and organizations with gifts and needed items. Over 1000 gifts are distributed annually. Volunteers are needed to sort gifts, man tables, and deliver items to the organizations. If you can help, please CONTACT: Parish Office 440-247-7183

Geauga Habitat Humanity

Habitat for Humanity
St. Joan of Arc has partnered with Geauga Habitat for Humanity for over 15 years. We have helped build or renovate homes mainly in Chagrin Falls Park but also through Geauga County. Volunteers can call or email Habitat directly: 440-564-5848 or to work on ongoing projects as individuals or watch for announcements in the SJA bulletin regarding our next project.
