Cup of Tea

Garden of Life Tea Party

A special note of thanks to all those who helped in the Garden of Life cleanup! Please remember to stop by and grab a watering can and water our thirsty plants or pull on your gloves and pull a few weeds anytime you are able!
Join us in celebrating the conclusion of a beautiful summer of prayer and Rosary in the garden with a Tea Party. All are welcome to attend on Thursday, August 30th, following the Rosary at 10am. The Event is free but donations towards the garden's maintenance are appreciated. In case of rain, the event will move to the Parish Hall. Call Samantha Taylor with questions or RSVPs at 440-715-5108.

Book Discussion Group

Some books are best read slowly and thoughtfully. You might make notes in the margins - thoughts or questions that come to mind as you read - or even ‘journal’ your way through the book. These are the kind of books this group will read and discuss weekly. Specifically, books by current and contemporary authors on Christian Spirituality.

The first book is The Divine Milieu Explained by Louis Savary. Savary guides us through Pierre Teihard (Tay-hard) de Chardin’s revolutionary thoughts on Christian Spirituality. The author states, “His (Teilhard’s) purpose was to see spiritual reality today - in the world contemporary men and women live in, thoroughly informed and transformed by science and technology.”

The group will meet weekly Thursday evenings, 7-8pm, in the Rectory Basement. First meeting is September 13th. Understanding that weekly meetings are difficult for some, you may attend as often as you can - just keep up with the reading. The group will decided future books.

All are welcome! Please RSVP your interest to Matt Valencic (440-338-7177) or so we can get an idea of space requirements.

Do You Have Questions About Becoming Catholic?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process within parish life to welcome new members into the Church, to allow baptized Catholics to "catch up" with sacraments they may not have received yet and to lead every parishioner to deeper belief and renewal of their Catholic Christian Faith.
The RCIA process is not a religious education program, nor is it an initiation into a set of rules, nor is it accomplished alone, but in the context of our community of believers. RCIA is the way people are initiated into the Catholic Christian way of life; it is about sharing stories, asking questions, and growing in knowledge of the Faith and the Church; it is about conversion -- a life-changing experience; it is part of our life-long journey of Faith. All are welcome to inquire and join.
